Welcome to my website. It contains samples of paintings I have done in the past for
both private and corporate collectors. I hope you will find something which interests you
within these pages.
Apart from hanging in private homes and public buildings, my artwork has been used as
corporate gifts, business promotional material, illustrations for publication, etc.
Some of the artworks on this website are already sold and are shown to give examples of my

BIOGRAPHICAL DETAILS
Vincent Killowry is a full time artist. He lives and works at his studio on the
outskirts of Ennis Co. Clare. He has been painting for over twenty five years and is
established as a leading painter of transport subjects along with landscape, equestrian
and portraits. He studied Fine Art Painting & Print Making in Galway graduating in
1986. His background is in engineering, flying and painting.
Since graduating he has exhibited in several group and solo exhibitions including The
Guinness Hops Store Graduates Exhibition, the GPA Awards for Emerging Artists, the
Flying Colours solo shows in Limerick & Ennis. The opening of the Foynes
Flying Boat Museum, The 50th Anniversary of the Limerick Flying Club Exhibition in the
airfield hangar and a solo exhibition as part of the Irish Air Corps 75th Anniversary
celebrations in Shannon. A retrospective exhibition was held in Foynes to launch his first
set of postage stamps in 1998. Vincents Titanic postage stamp design artwork was
included as part of an exhibition of postage stamp designs at Cork City Hall to mark the
Citys year as European Capital of Culture 2005.
Increased demand for his work saw Vincent move to painting as a full time career at the
end of 2003 and he has had a constant waiting list for commissions ever since. His work
now hangs in private and corporate collections in Ireland, U.K., U.S.A., Japan,
Luxembourg, France, Spain & India.
Vincent has had a lifelong passion for the subjects he paints and his paintings are
prized by his collectors for their mood and atmosphere combined with a technical accuracy
that has come from the sensitive attention to detail in his work.
Apart from his paintings, Vincent has also produced artwork for publication. Examples
can be viewed in this website of Irish postage stamp designs, book illustrations, phone
call card illustration & post cards. He also painted the mural History of
Flight in the entrance hall of the Foynes Flying Boat Museum in Co. Limerick.
